Since 2013, Training For Higher has been preparing trainees, workers and employees to operate elevated work platform (EWP) equipment safely.
Our head trainer, Phil Rutter, has been in the industry for over 10 years and served as Secretary for the EWPA NSW. To date Phil has trained over 3000 operators.

The Scissor Lift (SL) is the most commonly used EWP worldwide. Successful completion of the Scissor Lift module enables trainees to operate scissor lifts with no height restrictions. This includes all scissor lift types such as electric slab or 4WD Rough Terrain diesel scissors.
MODULE DETAILS
The Boom Lift (BL) is required when access issues such as garden beds etc require a machine with reach. Successful completion of the Boom Lift model enables trainees to operate boom lifts restricted to 11 metres. This includes electric slab booms and 4WD diesel Booms.

The Vertical Lift (sometimes referred to as a man-lift) operates in much the same way as a Scissor Lift (SL). Successful completion of the Vertical Lift (VL) module enables trainees to operate vertical lifts with no height restrictions. This includes mast and push-around models.

Our EWPA Yellow Card course also covers Trailer Mounts (TL) and Truck Mounted EWPs (TM) for the operation of EWPs mounted on either a truck or trailer.
